I'll stamp all over 'legitimate fighter' Jake Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua will face the American YouTuber in an eight-bout match which will be broadcast in real-time on Netflix.

British boxer Joshua said he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "overpower" his opponent as the combatants came face-to-face to publicize the upcoming heavyweight fight.

Former two time world heavyweight champion Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a mammoth mismatch - at Miami venue on 19 December.

Boxer's Mindset

"I plan to damage his features and hurt his body. I aim to demonstrate I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35 years old, said.

"I will dominate him completely. That's how fighters think.

"I will seriously aim to hurt him. That's what I want to do."

Respectful Exchange

Despite these statements, a calm Anthony Joshua and social media star Paul - normally known for his dramatics - were respectful and maintained decorum with each other.

Paul instead targeted ex Joshua opponent the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "not serious" after Ngannou declined a match opportunity.

Taking Aim at Fury

Joshua, at the same time, took aim at British rival Tyson Fury - and rejected a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a Paul win.

"Jake Paul is superior to Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua said.

"I acknowledge that."

Legitimate Opponent

Despite saying he intends to hurt Jake Paul, Joshua declined to comment unfavorably about his opponent's pugilistic talent.

"Jake is a credible opponent," he stated.

Jake Paul's History

Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has primarily boxed mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since entering professional boxing.

He lost to British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.

Financial Attraction

However, the inexperienced fighter continues to be one of boxing's greatest money-making draws, regularly earning substantial paydays.

Prediction and Belief

The 28-year-old predicted a KO victory in the fourth or fifth round and claimed he would stop the highly-expected Fury-Joshua bout, which is apparently in the works for two years from now.

"The next fight will be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Paul stated.

Physical Disparity

As the two fighters engaged in the customary confrontation, with their size difference on show, it drove home just how unlikely this complete situation is - and how astonishing it is that the bout is truly going ahead.
